You cannot please everyone

Long time ago lived a father and son. They were very poor with there only source of income coming from there donkey which they used to transfer goods of the villagers from one place to another in lieu of some flour or eatables. That was barely enough for them and there donkey and three of them were frequently going without meal.

Life was somehow going on for them in acute poverty when they heard the news that in a far off town there king was building a castle and was buying donkeys at very high price for transporting the building materials.

Father thought that they can sell there donkey there, work there for some days as a labourer, and with the money saved they can start a business. Atleast they can have two good meals everyday.

Thinking this the father and his son got ready for there long journey. They packed whatever small amount of food they had and started there journey. They walked sometime with there donkey when they reached a small village. There one man saw them and commented loudly to his wife, "what fools they are, They have a donkey still they are walking on foot". Father thought that what they are saying is true so he sat on the donkey while his son was walking.

They moved further when another man saw them and told to father,"What cruel father are you, your son is walking and you are sitting on the donkey". The father felt ashamed and got down and asked his son to sit on the donkey. They again started moving forward when a kid said to the son,"you are young and sitting on the donkey and making your old father walk. Shame on you". Thinking what to do now, both of them sat on the donkey and started again.

They came out of the village to a field when a shepherd saw them and said, "What kind of human are you putting so much load on the donkey. It must be tired now. Give some rest to the donkey also". The father and son confused now what to do carried the donkey on there shoulders and started walking towards the river. They were crossing the river when they slipped on the mud and dropped the donkey which was washed away in the river.

Moral of the story: How much you try you can not please everyone. No matter what you do, there will always be some people who do not like it.
